Friends of the York County Animal Shelter (FYCAS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the lifesaving work of the York County Animal Shelter in York County. Through fundraising, community partnerships, and volunteer engagement, FYCAS helps provide medical care, enrichment, rescue support, and adoption resources for homeless pets in our community. Our mission is to enhance the well-being of shelter animals, promote responsible pet ownership, and work toward a future where every adoptable animal finds a loving home. Together with compassionate supporters, we’re making a lasting difference — one life at a time.
There is nothing quite like watching a frightened animal learn to trust again or seeing a rescued pet go home with a forever family. Volunteering in animal rescue is hands-on, meaningful work that changes lives, theirs and yours. Contact us to get information on how to volunteer with FYCAS.
